Salam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, I'm a sister in Islam and I decided to embark on my journey towards this religion in my early teens, and I discovered that behind the image often passed down by people who act and speak without true knowledge, lies a world that would warm and awaken anyone's heart and thoughts, if only they discovered its true meaning. For me, this shows that no matter how you grew up or what notions you had about it, sometimes even those born into Muslim families need to rediscover Islam for themselves.
